The Robots LIVE 1/31/14

The Robots bring the best out in people. Clean fun for everyone. This guest spotlight series also pumps not only us up, but the guest musicians too. Such a thrill. This is where my photography falls short. This is where my short vids, though spare of the moment, help to complete the vibe of the evening.

Tonight Mark Rongers special guessed. He brought his energy, used The Robots to pump it up, and gave us some jams that everyone was on the floor dancing to. Mark grooved with the band, walked off stage during songs and grooved with us. He made his connections.

The Robots are a cover band, mainly. Each have their own music away from The Robots. Pete Calacci, for instance, has recently gone back to a writing and recording spree. As a musician, you want to dig deep, perform, get the feedback from the audience. As a group performing tonight at The Track Lounge, led by Mark Rongers, the audience gave them feedback. Yes!!!!

Here are my photos from the evening. Being a hippie, I am going back to my roots in visualization. At the end of this blog you will see my unedited camera work. I came back to doing some of this when I picked up the camera a couple years ago. Recently, another photographer who I have briefly studied under, Rick Friedman, did some work in this same area. It turned the lock on my door. I am now opening the door for you. Come into the "hippie zone" . . .

Oh, need to give a big shout out to Danny Mac for playing an incredible bass solo.  I was in awe, and never photographed or did a vid . . . was too cool, like playing lead guitar . . .

Cool how the fans enjoy getting their photo taken, especially during the song. The Robots are cool with this, which makes it even more fun . . .

One thing I enjoy doing is playing with awkward lighting conditions. I go against the rules, and create with what I have. This next photo, like some of the others, I enjoyed capturing the darkness in front of the guys.

Mark giving us some Air Jordan time . . .

Musician respect. I see it everywhere. Mark stepping back as Pete takes us on a short trip . . .

And, sometimes the audience likes to test the patience of the band members, all in good fun . . .

Hope you liked the psychedelic look. I will be doing more, sort of a revival of what I was creating many many years ago.
