The Robots were the very first band I ever photographed. As I have written many times, these guys are like brothers to me now. They put on a great show, with great talent, and are great people to know. They are a "fun" band in general. They are also dynamic, in their own turn at the plate. The most fun I have with this band, is when they forget about the audience and get in their zone. Playing for themselves if you will. They hit that groove, that rhythm, and exploit it to perfection.
Another mention is The Track Lounge. I find it very friendly there. People have fun, are courteous to each other, and most importantly the staff is super! Yes, I would like it a bit less smokey. All in all, it is still the first place I would pick to go see a band and have a drink.
Here are some photos from the evening. Enjoy!
Sonny Lee Tritt stopped by to play some sax with The Robots. It is always a treat to have Sonny part of any band, for any reason. You can see a glimpse of Sonny in the first photo, behind Danny. (Now, if I had my way, I would ask The Robots to have a "brass night" and include Sonny Lee Tritt, Melissa Welch, and Mark Biegel play with The Robots.)
