The Robots LIVE 4/12/13

Attention all Hippies, check out the psychedelic man . . . (and yes, I am a Hippie . . . as everyone knows this come game time on Sundays).

This was a fun evening of photography. Lots to play with. At the same time, I think it was a challenge to the band. I think all of the light changes played with their minds. It is hard to stay focused in those conditions. However, they did it like the name bands and kicked some robotic butt tonight.

Another cool thing was that I met Bob Sherman's brother, who is an actor, under the name Sherman Howard. He has been in General Hospital, Day of the Dead, Dallas, Miami Vice, Lethal Weapon 2, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Quantum Leap, Seinfeld, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Home Improvement, ER, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Star Trek: Voyager, Charmed, Law & Order . . . and that is the short list.

Because I knew I was going to meet him, I printed my usual collage of photos I found of him (for an autograph), and I printed a couple photos of Bob Sherman that I have taken to give him. He was blown away to get the photos of his brother. Me, I was blown away to have met him and to get his autograph.

Here are some photos for you to enjoy, however, remember that I do not use flash, and I only used software to lighten up some of the photos I took. The colors you see, are what I photographed.

I like this next lighting series with Pete. One photo he looks like Jesus Christ Super Star . . .

Drummers are always buried in the back . . . so I had to barge in to get some photographs (sorry guys for that interruption).

And since I was back there, a reverse photographs of Danny and Pete . . .

What was cool to photograph, were the laser lights. The engineer running them did a nice job of changing things up. At first he was concerned I would not get any good photographs for as fast as they were changing . . . haha . . . Wes does it again . . .

Draw Blood on WJOB

Cool night. Not the temperature, but Draw Blood. This group of musicians are positive, motivated, going places. Mark Mybeck commented their music reminded him of the late '70's. I agree. It was refreshing, skillful, entertaining. Dana Lynn on vocals reminds me of Pat Benatar, and Chrissie Hynde of The Pretenders. Though I think Dana's voice is much more powerful, which is what sets her on a higher plain. When you add a little Black Sabath, then you have the band. I need to here them live!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
