The Robots LIVE 10/25/14

The Robots played the last Saturday before Halloween at the V.I.P. Lounge, in Griffith. That is an 8 minute walk from my house, so I had to go!

The Robots were all dressed up. Bob Sherman as Doc Brown, Pete Calacci as Wayne, Eddie Fell as Garth, and Danny Mac as, oh, okay I do not know my monsters. Many other people at the V.I.P. Lounge were dressed in Halloween costumes too. There was also a costume contest later in the evening. Lots of people on the floor dancing, whether to the music of The Robots, or between their sets from the house.

I really enjoyed how The Robots set list as well. Though I enjoy when they play more Cream, Santana, Who, Doors, and Tull, they showed their huge depth in variety tonight.  The vocals were strong. The sound board was strong. They hit it hard.

Here are photos from the evening.

Danny Mac got down on some serious shit here, playing lead guitar . . .

The V.I.P. Lounge is hosting a lot of bands. Bands I have photographed in the past. I hope this continues, because it is in the right spot of NW Indiana . . . Griffith!!!

Jeff Massey LIVE 10/21/14

It was a pleasure to go see Jeff Massey play acoustic blues. It was a pleasure to go see Jeff at the Harlem Avenue Lounge. The venue is always welcoming, and the service is great. If you did not know, you will now, every Tuesday night is Blues night there.

This evening I took my bride to go see Jeff. She has known Jeff for over ten years now. Me, just a couple years. The difference . . . none. Jeff is a mellowed dude with great talent, who makes friends with everyone. He really enjoys what he does, and it shows in his play and song.

Here are a few photos from the evening. I did not run them through my compression program, which also places my tag on the photos. I wanted to see if the quality of the photos improved in the blog. This means a very long up load time too. So I do not expect to be doing this again. Please read my copyright. (Links to it at the top and bottom of this page.)
