First off, I believe I found our coolest music venue in NW
Indiana, here at the Hobart Art Theatre in Hobart. What a cool place. The sound
this evening was the best I have heard at a music venue. Good seating everywhere. A big thanks to Tom Lounges
for supporting this venue, and of course our local music scene. Since the
destruction of Holiday Star Theatre that was in Merrillville, this is a Christmas wish come true.
On November 15th, catch BritBreat at the Hobart Art Theatre!

In addition to tonight's event was donations for the NWI food bank. You can never
deliver enough to the food bank. This evening was just a small donation to what
needs to happen for the people in our region.
The Unstoppables and Nomad Planets played music for us to help the Food Bank. Both bands are power houses of local
original music in NW Indiana. They have accomplished a lot and take very little. So this is why I give them, and other bands, free photography. It makes me feel good as a human to donate.
I shot some video with my camera of both bands. All hand
held. I think I need to start carrying my tripod and external mic in the car
for occasions like this. I also still dislike the red lighting when
photographing. It kills the image. I tried to rework a couple of the photographs for a
better image for you. I hope you like them.
Before we get to the bands, here are some photographs inside of the Hobart Art Theatre.
Nomad Planets
Opening was Nomad Planets. The video is of their first song, which is one I believe stretched their envelope and was cool.
This next photograph was done "in camera" using reflections. No post editing.
The Unstoppables
These guys definitely have their own vibe going on. Mellow, rich with sound, and a connection with the audience that makes them want to get up and dance.
I sneaked in the next photo from Tom's phone while he was "live".
